Winter Fest 2025 Recap

Winter Fest 2025 was a memorable weekend filled with competitive matches, exciting moments, and plenty of smiles. Hosted at Central Park in Santa Clarita, the tournament welcomed 90 teams across 16 brackets, with champions crowned in each division. Over 150 games were played throughout the weekend, showcasing talent from age groups 2017 to 2007.

All champions received our new Playmaker Sports trophy design, while both champions and finalists were awarded custom Playmaker Sports medals. Every participant also received a Playmaker Sports pin as a keepsake from the event.

We were thrilled to provide a variety of food and clothing vendors on-site, including breakfast burritos, chicken, chilli cheese fries, funnel cake, coffee, burgers, and hot dogs. Other vendors like Grip Socks, Game Day Braids, and LA Galaxy also attended, with LA Galaxy offering ticket specials to some champions and finalists. Custom Playmaker Sports hoodies and jerseys were available for purchase on site!

We ensured all participants had access to important resources, including information tents and certified athletic trainers stationed throughout the park for convenience and safety. Our athletic trainers were equipped with first aid medical kits and ice for tournament attendees. Free parking added to the positive experience for families and guests.

A special highlight of the event was welcoming former professional soccer player Thomas Elliott, who joined us on Championship Sunday to sign autographs and take photos with players and families. Thomas Elliott played for many professional clubs in England including Leeds United and Cambridge United. He shared some of his experiences playing against top clubs in the world such as Manchester United with players at the tournament.

We’d like to extend our gratitude to the referees and staff whose dedication ensured clear communication and smooth operations throughout the tournament. Additionally, we partnered with the Hyatt Regency Valencia to provide our traveling guests with a special discounted rate, helping make accommodations easier for teams coming from outside the area.

Congratulations to all the champions who took home the title in their respective divisions! We are excited to see everyone again at our next event, the Summer Championship, on August 2-3.
